Vonnegut was a beautiful, brilliant writer. Our greatest human. I miss him so. Thank you for reminding us of his huge heart and his love of humanity; despite all of our limitations, our failures, our pretentiousness.
Hey, Michael from Atlanta, Georgia USA! I'm not sure if I'm doing this correctly, but I'm certainly looking forward to reading more of what you have to say. I facebooked you too about how we knew eachother at the Royal Court Theatre in the late 80's. So glad I got the bright idea to check for you there! Thank you for the great read!
Thank you. Awesome read. I'm such a fan of Roy Scheider. And your viral Vonnegut tweet grabbed me when I read it and I actually took a copy of the letter you shared. His wisdom about guiding people to use the arts to get in touch with ones self, to expand and grow your own soul - wow! Words to live by. Thanks again.
It's one the greatest letters ever written imho. It's power to inspire is infinite I think, and in the times we are in and even worse heading toward it feels like inspiration positivity & hope need underpinning more than at any time (in peace time) in centuries.
